Husbands
Husbands (mine at least... which would be 'husband', because I only have one) are no good at relaying important information unless they are asked a very specific question.

Apparently, after greeting L and asking how his day was, I should add, "Are your parents going to be in town tomorrow and drop by? Are any other drop-bys imminent?"

Because a girl likes to know these things ahead of time....
